Description

Ivory fragment with a matching two-sided floral design. On one side the design is incised; on the other it was originally rendered in champlevé. Ancient breaks mark the two long sides. Presumably the object’s stone or paste inlays were lost long before its discard.

West end of CT 18, close to the east balk.
