Description

Sandstone relief sculpture fragment possibly showing a lion’s shoulder. One edge of the smoothed oval part preserves the original curving edge of the relief element. Nodule-patterned sections are preserved at each end of this edge. The piece is blackened by fire but the surface is well preserved.

Length: 7.6 cm.

Palatial Complex, Monumental Entrance. In burned debris above the pavement.
