Description

Large one-handled jug with cut-away spout and faceted vertical bar handle between rim and shoulder. A mark in the shape of a V and above three vertical lines was incised on the shoulder, immediately on the right side of the handle, after firing. Handmade. Fabric: orange, pale core, core of handle pale grey, sparse grit and burnt out inclusions, not highly fired. Interior: uneven with orange surface. Exterior: orange, patches remain of glossy, rust-coloured paint.
