Description

One-handled jug with cut-away spout and neck plus small part of shoulder (two joining sherds). Handle scar on rim. Handmade. Fabric: orange, pale core, core of handle pale grey, sparse grit and burnt out inclusions, not highly fired. Interior: uneven with orange surface. Exterior: orange, patches remain of glossy, rust-coloured paint that once covered the entire surface. Scrape marks on shoulder to right of handle. Pot mark on shoulder, probably to the right of where the handle would have been. Incised after firing.
