Description

Tanged arrowhead, square in section, complete.

Dimensions

Length of head: 40 mm.Length of tang: 17 mm. Total length: 57 mm. Base of head: 6 by 5 mm. Tang at maximum: 3 by 3 mm. Weight 4 gr.

Context

Cappadocia Gate, found in the burnt and badly preserved mudbrick of the Room 3 wall. It was not possible to determine if the arrowhead was mixed in when the brick was laid or in debris associated with the collapse, but it was most probably in the same context as the two other iron arrowheads.
