Description

Large iron bracket with two nails. The clamp or bar is shaped like a capital I with very short arms. It is rectangular in section. The two nails have domed heads. Their shanks are octagonal in section and taper to a point. The surface of the main bar appears to be very red where the corrosion has flaked off.

Dimensions

Length: 39 cm. Width of bar: 3.2 cm; maximum width of ends: 6.2 cm. Thickness: 1 cm. Diameter of holes: 1.4 cm. Two dome-headed nails, one with tip missing, rounded towards the top then square in cross section. Length of complete nail: 21 cm. Height of head: 1.2 cm. Diameter of head: 2 cm. Maximum diameter of shank: 1.2 cm.
